Look out from the blinding halo effect - It influences how we feel and think about Business and personal performance.

The halo effect is a Cognitive bias in which our overall impression of something or someone is gathered from one element and influences how we feel and think about his or her character.  It impairs judgment. In the work setting, the halo effect is most likely to show up in appraisal of a subordinate's job performance or hiring processes. In the business world wise managers should know to be wary of the halo effect. They should look for independent evidence. Here’s a collection of quality links around the web taking reviewing this effect from the personal and business perspective. Enjoy.
