Handling User Story Dependencies - The *I*NVEST

How do we handle dependencies between User stories, after all a good user story should be independent? This seems obvious but can be really hard to do in practice. For people new to story writing, this can be one of the hardest things to learn. Independent here really means remove any unnecessary dependencies. We should aim for minimum dependencies as we can. There ways to minimize those dependencies and to define a real good minimal dependent stories.
