An analogy is more of a logical argument that plays a
significant role in problem solving and decision making. Effective analogies
motivate people, clarify thinking, help overcome misconceptions, and give ways
to visualize abstract concepts. When they are used appropriately, analogies can
also promote meaningful learning and conceptual growth. Analogy can be used as
one of the tools for increase innovation that often result from transferring
problem solutions from one industry or domain to another.
