As you plan and prepare your influencing case Don’t assume
that people automatically connect the dots and bridge the gap between what you
offer and how they can benefit. In the end, when people finally say yes to a
proposal, it is because the benefits outweigh any disadvantages. When people
see the WIIFM they can make informed decisions about their contributions. It
provides focus and can create target goals to strive for. It can alleviate
fears and frustration, help navigate change and even provide a reason to excel.
